Every year this venue commissions an internationally renowned architect to design a temporary structure for the lawn in front of the venue itself. The 2007 Pavilion has been designed by celebrated artist Olafur Eliasson & architect Kjetil Thorsen and together they have created a spectacular and dynamic structure with a striking spinning top, outstanding vertical dimensions and a spiralling ramp that ascends from the gallery lawn to the highest point of the structure so that guests can absorb stunning views of Kensington Gardens.

The gallery has four large and beautiful rooms and attracts an abundance of natural light through high windows. Classical architecture is the main focal point of Serpentine aided by a stunning backdrop of a Royal Park. Outside events are essential to benefit from the Serpentine's private landscaped garden and terrace.

Located at the eastern extent of the Serpentine in London’s Hyde Park, this venue is easily accessible from Knightsbridge or Hyde Park Stations, or a short walk from The Serpentine Gallery. The Serpentine has a permanent structure and an external patio space - this may be hired for standing receptions for up to 250 guests independently and both areas for up to 500 guests.
